Abysmal: After 13 years of receiving N3B Settlement From The Lagos State Government,Ojora Royal Family Allegedly Send Touts After Ijora Industry Land Allottes And Leasers

The allottees and leasers of Lagos State Government scheme in Iganmu, Ijora and Apapa Industrial Scheme has sent save our soul to Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu.

This followed a threat, harassment and intimidation from Ojora Chieftain family and the council directing them to vacate or contact the family for a settlement.

This is contained in a threat letter sent to them via a public notice informing them of their intentions to send them away from the property.

Those who spoke with pressmen in Lagos compliant that the Ojora Chieftain-Family and Council has issued another fresh threat over their property that was allocated/allotted to them by the Lagos State government many years ago.

The leasers and allottees of government property is urging state government to intervene on their behalf by taking a prompt response to guarantee peace and tranquility with immediate effort, saying further in an official statement issued and signed by the concerned leaders reads “they are law abiding people that would love the governor to call the council to order for mutual benefits and amicably settlement”.

They claimed that they woke up to discovered that several public notices sounding disdained and absorbed to hearing pasted on the walls claiming that possession has been taken following a court purported injunction.

In one of the notice pasted on the wall and sighted by our correspondent written LD/562/1972 possession taken by the court order with a public notice.

In a letter made available to newsmen claimed that the possession has been taken on their property by court order and any further information, the affected defaulters should contact the ojora Palace at no 16 Ojora Street, Ijora Oloba Lagos.

The public notice posted on the entrance of the property indicated that ” public notice with heading “To all defaulters tenants and occupiers on Ojora Royal Family and council adjudged landed property pursuant to the several court judgements”.

The leasers and allottes are appealing to the Lagos State Government for prompt intervene on the matter as this threats becoming abysmally and uncalled for in a society where rule of law is been practiced what an intimidation, harassed and embarrassed by the thuggery and criminals backing by some unscrupulous police sponsored by the notorious Ojora Royal Family without hesitating we would like Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu to call the Ojora Royal Family and Council to order and respect the agreement reached with the state government on the landed conveyance property.

They said that the action of Ojora Royal family and council is having negative motive on their businesses and other activities in the area, appealing for quick intervention aimed at putting their threat to rest as many of their employees are beginning to scare of the dire consequences.

This is coming about eleven years after Lagos State Government has settled the matter amicably with the family.

An investigation revealed that in October 28th 2013, Lagos State Government through the Permanent Secretary Lands Breau. In a letter, warned the Ojora
Royal family and Council against embarrassing, harassing and intimidating the allottee and property owners. The letter warning them to adhere strictly to the agreement signed with them on the land.
The public notice was signed by the immediate past Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola when he was Permanent Secretary Land Bureau.

In the agreement, Lagos State Government paid a sum of three billion Naira to the Ojora Royal family

The letter advised the allottees and leasers from entering any financial arrangements with the family or agents as any threat should be reported to the agency.
