Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, ( OON )Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), hosted Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidinma Adetshina, at NiDCOM’s Lagos office and a reception later at The Temple.

Dr. Abike expressed her admiration for Chidinma’s resilience, particularly in light of the challenges surrounding her emergence as Miss Universe Nigeria.
“If you have a dual citizenship, don’t take the second one for granted. Nigeria has been there in this trying moment for you, but I am glad you are home“

Chidinma Adetshina expressed her gratitude to Nigerians for their support throughout the contest, noting the warm hospitality and friendship she received. She also thanked the NiDCOM Chairman for her guidance during the difficulties she faced in South Africa.

‘I am so honored to be sitting in front of you, and I thank you for this beautiful reception,’ she said.

‘I wear this crown with immense pride, and I am committed to making Nigeria proud,’ she added.
Present at the reception was Mr Guy Murray Bruce , organizers of Miss Universe Nigeria musical legend Dbanj’who also performed a special song for Chidimma

As the newly crowned Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidinma will represent the country at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant, which is scheduled to take place later this year in Mexico.
